We schedule individual and group classes!
Intro to wheel classes — $50
We call this class our “one shot deal”. This one time, two hour session will introduce you to some basic pottery language and throwing techniques as you sit with an instructor and create two bowls with your own two hands. This “one shot deal” class is a fun way to experiment with clay and is perfect for a date night! You might even surprise yourself!
Beginner Wheel Class — $275
This 8-week class offers a comprehensive overview of fundamental throwing and hand building techniques. Classes meet once a week for three hours each session and students will build on the skills they acquire each class to further their throwing. By the end of this 8 week course, students will have learned the basics of throwing on the wheel (having made cylinders, bowls, plates, mugs, pitchers and more!) and will have learned the basics of trimming, glazing and hand building techniques. This class includes 20 additional hours of open studio time each week to practice, play and create!
Intermediate Wheel Class or Hand-building Class — $225.00
This 6-week class is for those who have mastered the basic techniques of throwing, trimming, glazing, and firing. Intermediate classes meet once a week for three hours each session and will build on one’s current knowledge of throwing techniques to create teapots, chip & dips, oval casserole dishes, and more! This class includes an additional 20 hours of open studio time each week to practice and hone your skills so you can become a master potter or sculptor.
All pottery in our care will be handled gently and respectfully; however, we can not guarantee that your piece will survive all parts of the trimming and firing process. We will not refund the cost of classes or materials if your piece does not survive.
